Mentoring and Technology Stewardship
Technology changes practices in profound ways, and that forward-thinking has become part of the mentoring paradigm. Irrespective of location and time, online communities connect people through the exchange of inquiry, products, knowledge, information and build relationships.

After loosing my brother I was done and lost hope. My mentor goes over and beyond the scope of a coach. I solute him and all the mentors involved in this community.
Catherine, Philadelphia, PA
What better way to form a lasting relationship with a trusted adult than through the Mentor Forward connector. Thank you for providing such meaningful exchange on this platform.
Lizbeth, Jersey City, NJ
It's not so much what I am gaining from serving as a mentor. I truly value the opportunity to work with young people and help them navigate challenges. The future will be much brighter because of this collective effort. #mentoringworks
Stronger. Wiser.
Mentoring WORKS

A wide variety of technology platforms such as forums, blogs, wikis, and networking sites support online communities. The interplay of community and technology foster communities of practice that unfold over time without a predefined ending point (Wenger et al., 2009), as well as virtual spaces where people come together to embark on the common feature of ongoing interactions (Kraut et al., 2016). Undoubtedly acquired over time, knowledge can be obtained through a blend of formal, informal, and social approaches paired with personal experience ("Informal learning," 2013). Leveraged through ementoring and peer mentoring, student athletes build relationships through technology integration, structured engagement, and practice.
